Forest Portal                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       This is the site entry, chosen for its propensity and character; it keys the primal mind for welcome or denial. A remote-controlled gate provides security. Connecting all parts of the site is the lane, starting and ending at the portal, a permeable ribbon curving through the forest.

Contoured properties are conducive to energy flows, so entry lanes meander through the wood, opening up the biosphere for dappling air and sunlight. Lanes double as firebreaks; trails cover the complete site allowing windsail reduction, centering, balancing, and deadwood removal for trees, with a complete map for identification. All wonder points and site phenomena are preserved and accessible.

The ancient conifer forest has old growth spacing, encouraging nesters to enter. These trees are not background; they are interactive players on a timeless stage.

Water

In an ancient conifer forest cluster, water features are configured by flow evaluation. Rainwater falls on living roof and follows chains to rain barrels; overflow is rilled into gardens, lagoons, other water features and ultimately, into the aquifer. From the time the first drop hits, the water is on a visible journey. Domestic use will have particle and biological filters. Never worry about hormones or medications in your water; the rain cycle takes care of that.

Light

When night falls, the stars and the moon can, on a clear night, be viewed easily…IF there is no light pollution. This occurs inside a dwelling as well as outside; lighting is a huge force and can have a strong, positive effect on people. We have multiple ways of collaborating with light, some seemingly whimsical, some useful (such as obscured sources). Well-planned lighting restores yang energies.

Power

To be determined by owner. We offer an exceptional off-grid package to cover all contingencies.
 
Water, septic and power systems are designed for easy understanding. Our clients will never run out of power or water, even in the most adverse conditions. Information on all systems can be accessed in the MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS MANUAL, given to all owners. To obtain remote viability, owners must have a sustainable supply of water and power, having complete confidence in the source. Overlapping passive and active systems assure synergy and continuity.

The maintenance program for Permian Parks is very low cost and impact compared with other similar sites; over 20 years it is a small fortune saved, and a better product preserved.
